I write books. Two are published: The Virgin Knows and The Fiddle Case.  Both are about art. Reviewers call The Virgin Knows an art theft thriller because guys smuggle paintings from Boston to Italy.  My mother flatters me and  tells everyone it’s a lot like the DaVinci Code, which it is and I don’t mind the flattering. I like to call The Virgin Knows a magic basement-blessed story. The Fiddle Case is about the folk music scene in the 70s. And hitchhiking cross-country, a journey I took several times. Once I almost got killed by a pack of park rangers.

I studied the visual arts–making paintings and film. The training stuck with me. Throughout my ‘word career’ I have written reviews and criticism of paintings, film, and performance for publications as diverse as Andy Warhol’s Inteview, The Cambridge Chronicle, and New Woman Magazine. I am passionate about art, the creative process, the unconscious collective consciousness, and beauty.

  1. Nancy,
Thanks for contacting me and for your interest in Iyengar yoga. At this point in her life, Dassa is very private and is teaching only students who have studied with her for many years. She has never, ever taken a drop in. If you have any more questions please feel free to email me either through this blog or at re.flexyoga@gmail.com
    Peace, Christine
